The exhibition aims to show the evolution and diversity of collage (its forms, techniques, and materials), continually used by artists for a whole variety of purposes.
Visitors can view works created over the last 150 years by prominent Polish and international artists, representing the whole spectrum of artistic disciplines – from painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic arts, photography, photomontagee, ceramics, glass, textile art, and video art. The exhibition showcases works by, among others, Kurt Schwitters, Max Ernst, Aleksander Krzywobłocki, Margit Sielska, Henryk Stażewski, Mieczysław Berman, Tadeusz Kantor, Jadwiga Maziarska, Robert Rauschenberg, Jiři Kolář, Władysław Hasior, Zbigniew Makowski, Kazimierz Mikulski, Krzesława Maliszewska, Zofia Rydet, Zdzisław Beksiński, Shinji Ogawa, Lech Twardowski, Grupa Luxus, Piotr Uklański, Jan Dziaczkowski, and Tymek Borowski.
