Textiles Conservation Studio

The Textiles Conservation Studio dates back to the 1960s. It specializes in the conservation of the exhibits showcased in both the permanent and temporary exhibitions. Among the artifacts under the specialist care of the studio there are naturally items from the Department of Fashion and Textiles, but also from other departments of the Museum: Oriental Art, Technical, Arms, Furniture, Sphragistics, Silesian Art 12th–15th cent., Prints, and the library…
The studio also provides conservation services for artifacts from the Ethnographic Museum, Four Domes Pavilion Museum of Contemporary Art, and the textiles stored in the Museum depositories. Some of these objects are not entirely made of textiles but include some such elements.
