26 February – 4 June 2023
Curators of the exhibition: Iwona D. Bigos, Małgorzata Micuła
The exhibition addresses the subject of the human face as the easiest recognisable and most exposed, and thus the most vulnerable, part of the human body.
This subject is of particular relevance in the era of advanced digitalisation, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in public space, in which the face becomes the most important factor of personal identification.
The exhibition is a kind of critical reflection on the present condition and the human dependence on digital technologies. It showcases works by Polish and international artists, most of whom are active and well-known in the world of art. The exhibits include realisations by artists of such standing as Zach Blas, Omer Fast, Katarzyna Kozyra and Krzysztof Wodiczko, as well as works by Cindy Sherman and Gillian Wearing.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a published catalogue.
