This is a presentation of the Nativity scenes created by children and youngsters from Lower Silesia, participants in the 34th edition of the Regional Sculpture Competition, organised by the Gallery of Young Artists operating in the Cultural Youth Centre Śródmieście in Wrocław.
Every year, schools in Lower Silesia approach the subject of the Nativity Scene, proposing their varied and often surprisingly original interpretations of the representation of the Manger of Bethlehem. The young artists use a variety of materials and techniques: ceramic, glass, cardboard, papier mâché, plasticine, natural components such as wood, bark, moss and stones, also products like bread, pasta, cakes, and many kinds of recycled material, e.g. bottles and CDs.
Their imagination has no limits, which every time results in the creation of extraordinary works.
