The medallion art collection of the National Museum in Wrocław consists of about 2 thousand pieces. The exhibition is an opportunity to present part of the collection.
During the display, there is a chance to view medals from the years 1800–1889, designed and made by the most outstanding medalists and sculptors of that time: Austrian, Belgian, Czech, Danish, French, Dutch, German, Polish, Russian, Swiss, Swedish, English and Italian.
In addition, exhibits with various themes and styles are presented, including medals that present rulers, historical events, exhibitions, constructions of canals, tunnels and railways and a wide range of figures like scientists, writers and artists.
