Dressed-up. Regional Costumes from Poland’s Eastern Borderlands

16 listopada 2024 – 16 February 2025

Curator of the exhibition: Hanna Golla

The exhibition showcases folk costumes which had been brought into the region of Lower Silesia by populations resettled from the pre-war Eastern borderlands of Poland, Romanian Bukovina, and Bosnia.

The exhibits include folk costumes, mostly for women, diverse both in terms of the fabrics used to make them and their embellishments. The collection of these regional outfits constitutes almost one-third of all the artefacts in the Department of Fabrics and Folk Costumes of the Ethnographic Museum in Wrocław.
