The National Museum in Wrocław systematically works to expand its collections, with new acquisitions financed from the Museum’s budget and also supported by dedicated grants from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
In the last two years 2019-2020, the new acquisitions for the collection of contemporary art at the Four Domes Pavilion have included works by: Kamil Kuskowski, Eberhard Franke, Dorota Nieznalska, Nicolas Grospierre, Aneta Grzeszykowska, Magdalena Hueckel, Janina Myronowa, Krystyna Schwarzer-Litwornia, Jerzy Maraj, and Marzena Krzemińska-Baluch. An important new acquisition is also an extensive portfolio of drawings by Zbigniew Makowski.
In 2020, the acquisition of 19 photographs by Aneta Grzeszczykowska and Magda Hueckel was made possible by a grant awarded under the project “Expanding the Collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art at the Four Domes Pavilion – Branch of the National Museum in Wrocław”, part of the program of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage: The National Collection of Contemporary Art.
The newly acquired artworks are on display at the Four Domes Pavilion to 28 March 2021.
