Easter eggs and palms, Easter decorations and greeting cards, as well as other ornaments created for this occasion by more than 40 artists based mainly in the regions of Lower Silesia and Opole, are presented during the annual Easter Fair in the Museum.
This is also an opportunity to learn about the contemporary techniques in creating Easter decorations, their development and directions, as well as new artistic trends.
The exhibition shows Easter eggs decorated in various techniques, including batik, engraving and applique, hence the exhibits covered with miniature cut-outs, rush pith and straw, accompanied by the so-called “kroszonki”, characteristic of the region of Opole, and eggs decorated using the regional traditional Hutsul, Suwałki, Opole and Rzeszów motifs.
