Guided tour in English through the temporary exhibition “Waldemar Cwenarski. Tenderness. Returns and Explorations”
A grand exhibition dedicated to the legendary painter and draftsman Waldemar Cwenarski (1926–1953) organised on the occasion of the artist’s 100th birthday and the 70th anniversary of the opening of the National Exhibition of Young Art “Against the War, Against Fascism” in the Arsenal in Warsaw (1955), where Cwenarski’s works were greeted with an enthusiastic reception.
Cwenarski’s work deserves the highest accolade not merely as an example of independent post-war art, the exceptionally moving record of dramatic fates of the generation marked with the stigma of the Second World War, but also as a universal, highly emotional narration about the need for closeness, love, and protection of what is most precious in life.

Wielka wystawa poświęcona legendarnemu malarzowi i rysownikowi Waldemarowi Cwenarskiemu (1926–1953) zorganizowana w 100. rocznicę jego urodzin i 70. otwarcia Ogólnopolskiej Wystawy Młodej Plastyki „Przeciw wojnie, przeciw faszyzmowi” w warszawskim Arsenale (1955), gdzie prace artysty spotkały się z entuzjastycznym przyjęciem.
Twórczość Cwenarskiego zasługuje na najwyższe uznanie nie tylko jako przykład niezależnej sztuki powojennej, wyjątkowo przejmujący zapis dramatycznych czasów pokolenia naznaczonego piętnem II wojny światowej, ale również jako uniwersalna, pełna emocji opowieść o potrzebie bliskości, miłości, ochrony tego, co w życiu najcenniejsze.
